| BARtender is the first Bartending School established in Israel - est. 1987 |
The founder and manager of BARtender, Gadi Avekasis, has an extensive bartending experience, including work at some of the most prestigious bars in Israel, such as the legendary "Avia Sonesta" hotel in Taba (5 stars deluxe), known today as the "Hilton Taba Resort".
Mr. Avekasis holds first degree in Economics from the University of Haifa and Msc. studies in the Technion of Haifa. In addition he took Wine Culture studies held by the Davis University, California and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Mr. Avekasis writes numerous articles for wine related magazines, and has personally designed the BARtender course syllabus. |
| The BARtender school provides comprehensive courses, including both theoretical and practical lessons, all taught in the optimal conditions of a professional bar environment. The course syllabus includes Bar Flairing, Bar Magic, Bar DJ and Bar Management. |
| Other activities provided by the BARtender school include coffee workshops, wine tasting of pre-market wine blends and educational trips to wineries, breweries and a unique alembic distillery. |
| BARtender offers courses of different professional levels - the most comprehensive course is 168 hours long. |
| In addition, the school has designed a wide variety of educational programs for its customers in different business sectors: hi-tech firms (Intel, CheckPoint, Mercury, Scitex), breweries (Carlsberg, Guinness), wineries (Golan Heights, Tishbi) and global brand distributors (Smirnoff, Johnny walker, J&B etc). |
